Updated Morning Skincare routine. (2016)

Lama tak update pasal skincare routine. Sebenarnya,  I dah try a lot of brand but too bad  I bukan jenis loyal to only one skincare je. Dari yang mahal sampai lah yang brand local but then i switch back to non-local skincare because I tak nak merosakkan kulit muka and kulit muka merah2 mcm makcik2 tu (ishhh scary).

One thing i learn, we have  to splurge abit on skincare compared to makeup. Terutamanya serum and moisturiser.



So let's take a look at my updated morning skincare routine for 2016.

1. Selalunya pagi-pagi i will use cetaphil cleanser. Ikut pada mood haritu. I dont really like to use harsh cleanser pagi-pagi so selalunya I would go for the mild one macam ni.

2. Then I proceed dengan toner.  I use Kiehl's Clarity-Activating toner / Bliss daily detoxifying facial toner. (alternately)

I love both of these toner. Bau dia best and it works on my skin.

3. Then, I will proceed with essence.I love this Kiehl's Iris Extract Activatiing Treatment Essence . Lagi kalau pakai under makeup/foundation kulit memang rasa cukup hidration. So makeup pun ok je tak crack or patcy.

4. Then I will use the eye serum and eye cream. I love Dior Capture Totale Eyes Essential eyezone boosting super serum and Origins Ginzing Refreshing eye cream. Serious best.


5. Then I will use my moisturiser. I guna Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Protective Emulsion . Bau dia best and lepas massage on skin boleh nampak kulit a lil bit brighter macam tula.huhu.. This lotion pun contain spf.

6. Kalau hari tu panas gila, I will use Dior One Essential City Defense Pollution & UV Shield Advanced Protection SPF 50 PA+++++ . I suka sebab sunblock ni konon-kononnya bukan je menentang UV tapi juga menentang pollution jugak.

Overal itula my skincare routine sampai November 2016. I am actually started to use other brand lepas ni ok :)

Korean skincare wishlist.

I've been eyeing a few of Korean skincare lately. I always wanted to try Laneige but I've been using  other skincare right now. I  knew about Althea website quite long time ago but I never got a chance to buy. The price is completely cheaper than the retail price at sephora or skincare departmental store. I also read a good review from customer about their product and service. Anyway.. I've been contemplating between these..

1. Laneige sleeping mask.
2. Laneige Brightening essense/serum
3. Laneign cleansing foam
4. Power 10 Formula VC effect
5. Inesfree No sebum mineral powder


and at the sephora I want to try this:

1. Alpha H - Liquid gold

My current skincare routine - cleanser and makeup remover 2016 ( April ) Part 1.

I am the type of person that love to try new things or I don't  really stick to use one product, because I tend to get boring. Same goes to my cleanser and makeup remover. So, here's my current cleanser and makeup remover that I use day or night.

As for the cleanser, I use the :

1. Kiehl's brightening facial foam which is my favourite and my old time favourite. (I am not going to review it )

2. I also use the facial foam from the Faceshop which is kinda cheap, alternately.
3. The green one, I dont use it because it melted..on the hot day and i use it to wash my feet (-_-) seriously.

4. Dior Instant Gentle Exfoliant


To remove makeup I use :

1. Purebeauty Makeup remover sheets - if i use light makeup.

2. Shiseido perfect cleansing oil - for heavy makeup

3. Bioderma Solution Micellaire

Updated skincare routine (night)

I begin my night time skincare routine with remove my make up.
If i wore a light makeup, i prefer to use my Bioderma crealine h20, i bought it from strawberrynet. This is for sensitive skin.

If i wore slightly heavy makeup or liquid foundation, i love to use my Soap& glory off face remover sheets or my Biore oil sheet makeup remover sheets.

Then, i will clean my face. I used Soap & Glory peaches & Clean or my trusted Kiehl's Brightening scrub cleanser. I use together with my Olay Speciality Cleanser.

Then, i tone my face using SKII treatment clear lotion. I am so in love with this toner.

Next, i used my essence. First i used the SKII Facial Treatment Essence followed with my Kiehl's corrective spot essence and finally, i use my PureHeals Blemish Solution (only at targeted area).

Later, i will apply my SKII Stempower cream all over my face. Nottoforget onto my neck area.

Last, I will apply my L'cotaine Precious Eye balm all over my eye area.

Fuhhhh..thats all peeps!!

Morning skincare routine.

SO finally I manage to do the updated 'morning skincare routine'.My skincare routine changes from time to time, however some products stick with me all year long. To maintain a good skin care routine it is important to find good products that works for your skin type.

Early in the morning I will definitely love to wash my face with mild cleanser . I'm using Clean & Clear fruit essentials facial cleanser (brightening lemon ). I love the scent of this cleanser especially when I just wake up, the scent is so refreshing!

Next, I will proceed to use my toner. I'm using Clinique Clarifying lotion. This would be my favourite toner for day use. I already did my review on this.

Then. I apply my SKII Facial Treatment Essence. I dont like to use a cotton pad to apply this but I love to pour a few drop onto my palm and pat it on my face. I follow with my Kiehl's Brightening Dark Spot corrector. 

For moisturiser I love use my Clinique Moisture Surge. This would be my current holygrail for day time moisturiser. I love to use especially on the hot day. I alternate with my Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Pore Reducing Cream if my skin do not so oily.

For sunblock, I use Clinique Super City Block.Finally, I use my eyecream, I'm using Loccaitane Precious Eye cream.

skincare haul *edited*

I've decided to change a bit my latest skincare range for this year. I love SKII product I've been eyeing it like forever..well it's not a cheap product....hell expensive but being 30++ I need to do some investment for my skin...tho... So I finally purchased the holy grail product of their FTE (Facial Treatment Essence ) and their latest range of Stempower Moisturiser. I also get a few sample of their tone ( Facial Clear Lotion ), which I probably gonna purchase the full size bottle next month ,I also got a sample of foaming & gel cleansers and a few masks...

And I also bought an eye cream from L'occitane. I love their Precious (Immortelle) range and I do hope their eye care range wont disappointed me.

December Collective Haul

It just 14th of December and I already did the collective haul video because I tried to promise myself from not making another splurge. LOL... well, hope so. However I have another thing coming from HopSHopGo but I still hold the shipment to Malaysia.

Anyway, normally if you see I spend quite alot in December because I already save my penny toward this month for the previous 5 months...takpa sesekali reward diri sendiri. ;) and be smart too!!

Review : Rosken Skin Repair Lotion (Normal to Dry Skin )

I'm not a lotion type of person.... but in this kinda of weather my skin tend to get abit dry. Rosken is one of the best lotion maker which I knew and I love to use compared to other brand in the drugstore.

So I grabbed this at Guardian which was on sale at the moment.

So what the description said about this product :

"Rosken Dry SKin Lotion has been specially formulated to assist in the treatment and prevention of dry skin from the first application.

Enriched with Vit E , the antioxidant benefits help to protect the skin from daily enviroment factor..... "

To my verdict :

• I love the texture of this lotion, it is quite runny but non-oily which is good. I hate the kinda of lotion that has greasy type and let my skin feel so oily and sticky.
• It spread well and sink into my skin immediately after I apply it.
• Non overpowering smell which to love!
• Overall I love it...
• I bought the orange one, if you have a very extreme dry skin you can go for the blue bottle.

'Me' Time....

That would probably my time for pampering, relaxing and watsnot, seriously it is therapeutically works for me.
Fun, okay spend the time dalam bathroom ?. I wonder who doesnt do this at home at least once a week. Heeee...
Playing with those bubbles.Cleans yourself, wangi- wangi especially bila duduk besides our love ones. haruslah yer *wink-wink
What I did during 'me time'?
Ohh before you start the pampering session ,try to give the romantic feeling as you in spa, light on the scented aromatic candles if you have.



Normally I 've started with soak my feet in the warm water with a bit of salt ,  scrubbing my feet and shaving the extra bulusss...huhu (^_^)






Then, followed with scrubbing my body and wash it with my favourite bodywash.
Then, I will continue with the hairtreatment. Wash and mask the hair...



Later , followed by the face treatment.



Wash, scrub, mask again..
While, waiting for the mask sheet to be removed, lets play with a nice baby pink colour nail polish.

Don't forget to apply moisturing lotion all over the body after you done.



And not to forget finish the 'me time ' with a cup of chamomile tea .

Review : Sephora Smoothing Body Scrub ( Cotton Flower )

Ohh maiii.... I love scrubies...    

and Sephora has kinda good  scrub which I love.

The scrubs comes with long inverted tube which is very easy to use and hygienic as compared to tub packaging. The tube has a black flip top cap which dispenses the scrub easily.It also easy to bring for  the travelling.

Cotton flower is one of my favourite. It smell like a baby powder , kinda sweet but flowerie. The scrub is light pinkish colour Its consistency is quite liquidy. It is full of exfoliating particles which are fine and not at all harsh on skin and do their job well. I find that the scrub is mild enough that it can be used almost daily.It really sloughs off the dead skin to reveal ultra smooth skin. It is also easy to rinse off and doesn’t feel slimy or anything on the skin. It leaves a nice scented on skin too.

The only down side to me is is kinda pricey for 140ml . Overall, I'm kinda love it !!

Review : TBS Spa Wisdom Africa Ximenia & Salt Scrub

I love to pampered myself in the bath room. Spending a lil bit of money on the bath products and having a 'me' time once a week is great! and of cos we can definitely save a lot of money from  paying at the spa , isnt it? heee

I bought TBS Spa Wisdom Africa Ximenia & Salt Scrub ( Ohhh maiii whataaalong name you got! )  which was on a sale a few months back.The product comes in a nice canister-like packaging. I quite like it.The smell is luxurious and yummy at the same time.  It make my skin  feel soft after applying it.

The only down side is the balmy texture is kinda hard to get sometimes. I need to use a scope instead using my fingers to disseminating the product.

Review : RoC Soleil Protexion+ Anti Shine Fluid 50ml SPF30 UVB+UVA

Sunblock is the must 'wear' product for me especially when I'm going out during the day time. I may skipped the moisturiser on my lazy day but not the sunblock, to be honest. Sunblock gives several benefits to the skin, reduces the emerging of blackheads , source of antiaging and etcs .

According to RoC, this Soleil Protexion+ Anti Shine Fluid ensures high sun protection whilst providing special care to the skin. It contains high performance sun filters/blocks for UVA and UVB protection. Enriched with an effective moisturising complex, a mattifying ingredient and a sebo-regulating action, this formula provides skin with moisture it needs whilst leaving a delicate velvet touch and a matt-looking finish.

To me this sunblock is quite oily but not much. Normally I wear this sunblock alone without any extra moisturiser.

Review : Clinique Clarifying Lotion No. 3

I first started using Clinique Clarifying Lotion since 21 years old if I'm not mistaken, at that time I have quite serious acne problem, perhaps due to hormone. It did clear my skin with the helped of good mild cleanser ( cetaphil) and tea tree oil.Alhamdulillah  (:

I've started using Clinique again a few years back up till now. The clarifying lotion or toner, does a good job to my skin. It acts like exfoliator, cleans my skin, removes the excess oil and dirt well. It is gentle on my face and strong enough to keep breakouts at bay. It also give somesort of refreshing feeling onto my skin before I add my favourite moisturiser.

Please take note that : I don't really recommend this product if you had really sensitive skin. Because this lotion contained alcohol that might give you redness and lead to breakouts.

Review : Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle and Pore Reducing cream.

Hey peeps! It's been awhile since the last post, I guess I am too busy at work, being a wife and rejoice the current love life!

 I did buy a few new products but I guess I have not really had had a time to review all of them. I mean... you know! heh!

Anyway , I bought this cream a few months back. As you can tell from my previous entries, I 'm such a big fan of this brand. I've been looking for a good anti aging cream, less oily and without spf so that I can wear it on the day and night time.
Normally, the night cream would be something abit oily or extra moist in order to give the extra pampered to your skin at night, while you sleep..unfortunately sometimes, it tend to distract me *du'h*

To my surprised,  this cream suit me well!! yeaaaa!!

Well, texture wise, it is heavy and extremely thick cream, but it absorbs quickly into skin.I did notice my pore shrink and shrink..everyday! heh!Yet less noticeable!

A little goes a long way, seriously, with 50ml cream, I must said it probably can last a year to me... LoL!

Review : SOAP & GLORY Scrub Your Nose in It

I love SOAP & GLORY Product. I've been wanted this product since a very long time but at that particular time it does not yet available in Malaysia. And finally after long waited,  thanks to Sephora Malaysia that eventually manage to carry out this brand .  huhu

Anyway.... kembali kepada topik. As you can see, I dah import masuk my previous blog into this blog. So jadilah banyak entry sedikit. Heee :)

Okay back to this product. First of all I lovee this product. It's work for me especially on my nose. Hehe. Actually you can use the product on T-Zone area.. Anyway kenapa I kata benda ni berfungsi? sebab.. after I guna and scrub my nose using this product, my white headsss are easily removed! That thebest partlah.. Before this I've been using exfoliate scrub from Khiel's which was my HG product but the price is quite pricey to some. But this SOAP & GLORY  Scrub Your Nose in It is still affordable to have. (You can get it at Sephora )

Instead of that, you can also use it as a pore cleaning mask. Just leave a thin layer on skin 3 minutes longer and wash it off!

Not just that , the scent is a lovely, incredibly  minty and after you apply it on skin and washed it off , your skin would feel clean, soft , cool and fresh! Haha =D

cleanse , tone, moisturise

heee...let'sstop talking about raya.. and balik semula kepada penjagaan wajah (skincare routines). okaylah actually saya baru bertukar product.To me, we dont really have to spend much on 1-2-3 skincare product (maksudnya disitu pencuci wajah, toner and moisturiser) ...

So, untuk drugstore products memang banyak choice kan?  but few thing we need to take into account, in order to search or use cleanser, please ensure that it wont strip the skin essential oil...  hmmm tak buat kulit kita jadi kering or sometimes gatal-gatal or merah-merah.

currently, i'm using this brand...it's remove make-up , cleanse and tone! hee kan senang.. :) not just that it is paraben free and contained rose extract (price rm29.00, 100ml)

And next... we need to tone our skin after cleanse untuk menutup pori-pori yang terbuka... and here a few tips... if ada yang diantara kita yang mempunyai pimple-prone-skin usually if you buy a toner cari boleh cari toner yang mengandungi salicylic acid same goes to the cleanser. :)

Untuk  moisturiser, memang kadang-kadang it's difficult to find the right moisturiser especially for those yang mempunyai oily skin. Cheaper alternative i use neutrogena hydroboost. :) 

for night saya suka pakai brand nie...

yes... itu... dia... a few simple 1-2-3 daily step untuk penjagaan kulit muka.

The verdict :

Perhaps they were right, i must say i love this thing too! once it touch onto my skin, i can feel the cool-feeling-effect . This gel type of moisturizer penetrate easily into skin without leaving any residue.Yes! It's not greasy at all ( for oily type of skin,you might love this). I only used it at night..and after i wake up in the morning i can feel that my skin seems appear more plump,well-hydrated and happy.Ohh notomention it also has unique fragrance.The only downpart for me is the price. i wish it's little cheaper.

My Skincare Regime....

Hey peeps.. how's your day?? seems that.. the monsoon season has been started after the "summer-end".. everyday seems gloomy and rainy and ohh so sleepy.. zzz


Okay-okay let's go back to the topic...then, i have quite simple (notso) skincare routine. ..But com'on sometimes i also skip here and there...
okay...

First i'll let you know my skin type. I have..combo,oily, sensitive, acne prone.(T_T)

Let's start with my:

Cleanser:

Morning:
1. Cetaphil Cleanser (oily-acne prone skin)Rm42.70 : I used this cleanser early in the morning because it mild to skin.Instead of that, i also use my Locaintaine Immortalle Foaming wash because it smell great (if you have dry skin, i suggest just splash lukewarm water onto you face to remove the xcess oil ).

2. Tea Trea Cleanser (Rm7.pluss) : I used this for evening cleanse... to remove excess make-up/double cleansing(after use my make-up remover)...and plus.. i have acne-prone skin so far... this stuff treat the pimples as well..

(Tips: You need to find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to.Becareful when you double/triple/over cleansing skin...that tend to make you skin over-dry and Make sure you use proper make-up remover to remove your make-up. For oily skin use gel/clear type of cleanser, dry : cream cleanser.)

Exfoliate :

1. Kiehl's Brightening Surface Exfoliator (Rm110) : aaahh this stuff is awe!

This step is actually crucial for your weekly skincare regime, some of you might skip it, right? Well, me too when it comes to laziness.huhu.. Dont you know that..Skin cells that have been around for about 25 days are starting to shed, making room for the new skin cells that will be taking their place.Sometimes the old skin cells remain attached to the surface of your skin, which can create challenges for the new skin: blackheads, whiteheads, rough texture, or an uneven appearance of the skin tone. (source).

Exfoliate / scrub your skin is necassary to remove the top layer of dead skin cells,black or white heads.Not just that, some of us complaining on certain moisturizer/serum that don't really absorb to skin quickly..Keeping the skin exfoliated helps ensure that your other skin care products, like serums and moisturizers, are more effective.When they don't have to penetrate a layer of dead skin cells, they can target the new skin cells, which is where they need to work.Try to exfoliate first and use your moisturizer afterward.. you can spot the different!.

Toner :

Again.. i have two different toner which are alcohol free..
1. Khiel's Calendula Herbal Extract Toner (rm95) : i use for morning...

and...

2. Simple Soothing Facial Toner (rm18) at night...

This also the part that some of you skip, right? Why toner is important? According to this. Toner is essential... because, our skin is naturally acidic, after cleansing due to alkaline nature of cleanser, the ph balance of our skin get disturbed. When this happened, skin need to work overtime to restore the balance , by using toner.. it will speed the balance.

However, you still need to find a right toner for you skin type again...

Moisturizer :

1. Kiehl's Sodium PCA Moisturizer (rm70-50ml) : I had reviewed this before....this is oil free moisturizer and lightweight...I use it for day time.

2. H20+ Face Oasis Hydrating Gel (50ml- rm159) : This gel-type of moisturizer absorb quickly to skin and hydrates skin..instantly...with no sticky feeling.yea!

Night:

1. Olay Micro-sculpting Cream (50ml-rm96.80) : This cream is kinda thick to my skin..so it's suitable to use as night cream. It smell heaven! plus the anti-aging benefits! me likey!(review comin' soon).

Essense / Serum :

I wish to splurge on serum.. but i still have to finish my previous :

Garnier Aqua Defense Essense (50ml: rm18.90).: I must say.. the texture is very similar to H20+.. no greasy but the only prob is.. the scent is too overpowering..believe it or not.. i only use it on my neck and.. sometimes use it..as a mask...

Sunblock :

1. Biore UV Perfec Face Milk spf50++ (30ml -RM21)

You must! must wear sunblock...!! ...no matter how fair you are... heee =D. ...and dont you know that sunblock can minimize the "aging" effect sun exposure has on the skin, which includes wrinkles and a "leathery" appearance?

(tips : find sunblock that contained "zinc oxide" or "titanium dioxide" which is the active key ingredients that can give a good sun protection).

Mask : I have several type of sheet masks.. but for weekly mask... i use:

1. TBS Deep Cleansing Mask.



okaylah... i guess, that's all.. yeaaa it's already friday... i cant wait to finish school. 1 week more to go!! I'M COUNTING D-DAYS!!! yippie-yippie-yayaya.. then... yeaa to a brand new start & experience again.. wehuuuuuuuu...

Next : Teruja dengan iklan TV..so, bought it for 50% off.. normal price at RM96!(i'm lucky..at that time was the last day promo at Watson MV..for 200 first customers). Andd yess..2 weeks after using, seriously.. i 'm lovin' it!(review comin' soon).
